Energy Absorbers and Energy Absorbing Lanyards–CSA-Z259.11-05
ClassE-4–Is a standard 4.0kN energy absorber or energy absorbing lanyard intended for general use in Fall Arrest Systems where the worker mass is 45kg(100lb) but not more than 115kg(254lb).
ClassE-6–Is a Heavy weight 6.0kN energy absorber or energy absorbing lanyard intended for use in Fall Arrest Systems where the user is heavier. Worker mass is 90kg(200lb) but not more than 175kg(386lb).

Self Retracting Devices for Personal Fall-Arrest Systems–CSA-Z259.2.2-98(R2004)
Self-Retracting Device Classification Types:
Type 1 (SRL)-A type1 self-retracting lanyard(SRL) shall have a working length of 1.5 to 3.0 meters (5-10feet).
Type 2 (SRL)–A type2 self-retracting lanyard (SRL) shall have a working length greater than 3.0meters (10feet).
Type3 (RSRL)–A type3 self-retracting lanyard with retrieval function (RSRL) shall have a working length of greater than 3.0 meters (10feet) and requires a retrieval device.
